Hello to all guys
Used this morning, Feather blade on second use.
As I imagined it was very sweet with just one pass I solved the thought of the daily beard.
I add that the handle as well as being beautiful has an extraordinary grip, absolutely to be combined with the head of the razor.

Finished the test with the Le Faulx.
Very excellent razor with which I have done 4 shaves without problems.
As already mentioned it is very delicate but for daily shaves it is among the best razors I have had.
Therefore I can safely recommend it.

As always, I find steel awkward.
But this razor reminds me of the hippo dancer from Disney’s Fantasia.
In the most delicate passages, you feel the weight. But in general it flies on the tips.

Today three passes with my favorite blades.
Almost half a day away, it’s like I just finished.
Full BBS and comfort. Like yesterday, but better.

If the original is more powerful, the hybrid is more manageable.
Like the agricultural tools they’re named after.
My "sickle" is lighter and better balanced.
Unlike the original "scythe".

The other dimensions are practically the same.
But comfort and precision are much better for me.
The three canonical passes led to a perfect BBS.
With a more enjoyable, faster experience.
A clear improvement.

Having better control, I got better feedback from the blade.
But as you can see it is exactly the same as yesterday.
Because it’s the hand that makes the difference.
With the right tool.

With better angle control, the blade feels more.
Even too much for my taste. I don't love this blade.

However, the shave was excellent.
We just have to see how long it lasts...

... in fact yesterday the result didn't last.
Already in the middle of the afternoon I had a clear discomfort.

That's why I used similar blades. Today, Schick Proline P30.

But gentler, also because they are softened by use.
In addition to the greater ease and speed, I found them more comfortable.
Even if they offer less feedback. The neutral plate is very technical.
Ultimately though, I stand by my opinion. Even with this razor.
The Kai Protouch are absolutely my favorite.

Today, Shave Battle.
Both perfect. But in a very different way.

French is sweeter.
This plate is absolutely forgiving.
Maybe even too much, for an already savvy user.
The ability to play with all the variables is fun.
Angle and pressure are always good.
Even better, if slightly exaggerated.
In order to compensate for the chosen combination.
Deliberately ultra sweet and super comfortable.
The other two plates offer more exposure.

I know the American well. It's my favorite.
It also has an ergonomic and well-calibrated handle.
But a better performing head than the Classique.
Slightly more positive, exposure makes a difference.
Better feedback and control.
Especially in difficult areas.

In summary, easy BBS with both.
Faster with General, safer with La Faulx.
Even though I used a new blade on the second one.
While on the first it is used, even if very little.
And I reserved the right, dominant side for the French.
But it still required some more tweaking.

Another champion. Popular.
A lightweight. Precise and fast.
But definitely efficient in the right hands.
The American is probably the most used in the category.

The French behaves well.
Like yesterday, same BBS. But different.
I realize that this plate offers maximum comfort.
But I prefer more feedback from the blade. Just a little.

Three day growth, in which I only trimmed the neck and cheeks.
This plate is effective, albeit super delicate.
With a few more tweaks, in the end the usual result.
An excellent BBS in three canonical passes.

I would have preferred a different experience.
With all three plates, for wider feedback.
Many recommend the Medium (+) version. Rightly so, I think.
This Classique is actually very sweet.
It offers little blade feedback.
Advantage for those who are not yet familiar, perhaps.
For me no. Even using the Feather Pro, which are more exposed.

One detail that I didn't appreciate is the balance of the masses.
The head tends to tip onto its back easily.
It makes SOTDs uncomfortable, and affects XTG pass.
Even the square corners of the underside in the topcap.
They are not pleasant to the touch during daily maintenance.
But in any case both are small things. Not influential on the result.
Contrary to the absence of lateral gaps in the plate.
Being longer than the blade, it makes cleaning and changing inconvenient.
In wet conditions, you have to find a way to detach it.
I blow hard on it from underneath, and that creates enough space.

As always, my preferences go to aluminum.
A version in this material could be more balanced.
Allowing me to use the nice original handle.
Without the trick of hybridization.
Which was excellent anyway.

Overall, Atelier Durdan offers very high quality.
Both the design and the manufacturing. A jewel.
Excellent as an instrument, perfect in a valuable collection.
