Sportsmania is IPTV and you shouldn't need a VPN for it.

You need to be sure about what you have, want and are willing to pay for because I certainly don't know. If you have a firestick you can load it with Kodi + addons and that should work well enough for films and TV. If you want reliable Sky I'd fix your linux box or buy one with a gift, I'm sure there is a forum that should be able to put you on the right track for that and if you're a sports nut I'd subscribe to Sportsmania.

Is there any reliable feeds for stuff like the Discovery Channel, N Geo etc?
I try watching them on UK Turks but it constantly freezes :(

Use Ares wizard and stick a build on your box. That should give you a few options. I use the Ares build but there are a few other decent builds on there too.

I use Ares and have the Pulse build and The FireGuru build but just can't seem to find reliable feeds for the Sky Pay Channels.
Sports are ok on Sports Devil and films great on Exodus.

Anyone else heard the latest news on UK Kodi boxes being monitored? Sellers and distributors seem to be in a bit of trouble too.

These rumors seem to periodically do the rounds. People who sell 'fully loaded' boxes/firesticks may be in a bit of trouble as you said. Its daft really as with a bit a research it's easy to put Kodi on most devices.

Why is anyone paying for the box to be preloaded with the software?

It's not like "setting the clock on a VCR" difficult to set up Kodi.

The whole thing is fairly easy. With the step by step instructions, pictures, and even videos available online now the process should be fairly straightforward.

I would never trust a random script kiddie to setup and possibly have access to stuff.

I don't like the new update by the way. The user interface on the new version of Kodi is very annoying. Luckily the old skin is available and easy to switch back to. It's not an update strictly speaking. It's the latest version uses a different default skin...

What version are you running out of interest.

Jarvis I believe.

It's the latest version on the Kodi website under downloads.

Edit: maybe Krypton?

I am not sure. Not at the computer. I looked and the latest stable version is 17.1 Krypton.

I just installed the latest version a few days ago and the user interface change surprised me.

I don't pay much attention otherwise.
