Using it to watch Grimm at the moment.

Sportsmania (as recommended by someone at the other place), twenty odd quid for six months sub.

So far so good, reliable HD streaming of Sky Shorts, BT shorts and Sat 3.00pm kickoffs....that's all I use it for but there's a lot of US sport too.

Watched Aguero fcuk up the pen...phew.
How long have you had it? And out of interested do you have a box or firestick?

... 3 to 4 weeks. I use a firestick for most things but Sportsmania is on my imac in my den only for the reason that I haven't tried it on the stick yet and the video and network connection on my mac is going to be superior.

Still, I'd probably go for the Amazon TV box or a dedicated android box that has a bit more juice if I was seriously thinking of running Sportsmania on something else.

I've had a chipped sky box for years but it keeps freezing some need another option. I've already got a firestick but suspected I might need something with more juice as you said if I go for that sportsmania.

I could certainly try installing Sportsmania on my fire stick but if your dish and cable are still up why not get a hacked linux box with a gift?

Can you expand on this anymore? Google is not being my friend. I assume this is nothing to do with IPTV.

Something like this as Rowlers pointed out, it'll be plug n play where your old Sky box used to be. SD for Sky only. As long as your interweb connection is stable enough and the gift provider has a reasonable setup you shouldn't have any issues. I'm not recommending those vendors below and any purchase of such a device carries a risk it's just an example of what mean.

Thought I'd try Sportsmania out tonight - It's been terrible. They are saying their having issues and working on it but not impressed so far. Shouldn't be taking new subs & money if they're having server load issues in big games.

edit - Got a lot better towards the last half hour. Hopefully just one of those things. Have been going through the other stations available and it's very impressive. On the computer upstairs but may well get a Android box for downstairs.

Ah thanks Rowlers, that's what I have now, unfortunately the lad I got the codes from the last few years has stopped doing it and my box has a tendency to freeze for anything up to 10 seconds which when your watching sport which can be very annoying.
If you have an Openbox anyway certainly worth trying another "gift" provider a go and most will give you a 24hr trial FOC. You just need to know how to update your box, it's not that difficult once you know how. YOu're going to get inconvenient down time with services like Sportsmania, always do.

I might go down that route then. Is IPTV an option with a VPN?
