You will be Talkin Around 30 Micron Lapping Film to Work on that Dollar from the Factory..And Even then I Would Be Using Diamond Lapping Film for that Kinda Work..That's a Resto Job...Diamond Cuts Faster than Chromium Oxide Film...I Use Diamond 15 Micron to Bevel Set...I Use the Chromium Oxide Film for Progression because is a Far Smoother Polisher & Finnish..Its Also Softer..The second - production line un-honed - GD of the night (got it in an auction I'd forgotten about). Next stop, lapping film & home made scales. It'll be good to see the difference between the two, one honed, one just out of the factory (pic below)
Is that second brush a Hans Baeuer? Are they worth the price? Their tortoise shell ones look gorgeous.
