You bought another Chinese W@nker Utter junk razor again, when are you going to learn to stop becoming a bloody cheapskate.

Have you/can you screw down the top cap less to up the aggression? I do that with my Progress razors if I’ve left my beard or head to grow too much.

I’ve taken the plunge … I’m really impressed with the quality of the Blackland Blackbird SS so I went for the Osprey as well (SS, polished). It hasn’t arrived yet (so should be in “Waiting to arrive …” as well ;-)
I’m really looking forward to feel the smoothness of the Osprey.
In the meantime I’m having two pass shaves with a very smooth and efficient Blackbird. Really great razor.

Hey Dipesh, Apologies for the rubbish photos but you can see the comparison to the Mergress. The spring is so short it looses any compression after less than one rotation.

So total travel is a quarter or maybe a third of the Merkur and then it just becomes loose.

in its defence the chroming isn’t bad

Thanks for the photos - I was curious about how they would compare side by side, and it looks like the clone's clamping area is a bit wider then that of the original.

It does make me wonder whether popping a new spring in there could be an upgrade of sorts if it enabled additional settings.

Once you dial into the Osprey you will never look back.
