I’d have paid postage for them and used them with glee.I didn’t like it , the last three tubes I had I emptied into the toilet and flushed them away .![]()
I think there was , or I perceived there to be a problem with the contents , it took on a very watery consistency and at the time it only cost pennies .I’d have paid postage for them and used them with glee.
I, like many others, experienced those watery tubes and they weren’t great. Lornamead, to their credit, supplied myself and a few others with replacements but even still, those watery tubes lathered up just fine with a bit of muscle.I think there was , or I perceived there to be a problem with the contents , it took on a very watery consistency and at the time it only cost pennies .
I am pretty sure that when and if it hits the shelves again I will be only too willing to have another dabble with it , I’m always happy to add to my soap / cream stash , it never seems to go down though…..I, like many others, experienced those watery tubes and they weren’t great. When it was discontinued, I was very disappointed indeed. It could be a divisive product but again, for me it worked great and I loved the smell, the menthol, the whole package. However, what I valued just as highly was its UK made status and high street availability. Walk into a bricks and mortar British pharmacy, preferably an independent, and pick up something inexpensive, effective, with an air of the traditional (love that metal tube) and made on these shores.
The news that it may return is fantastic but until I have the new Ingram in my hand and put it to a favourable test, I will remain sceptical yet hopeful.
“Come back to me, you never should have gone…”
On a little net research i've discovered ThreePears the company who have purchased Ingram are also the current holders of classic frags like Blue Stratos and Rapport. Happy days its gone to a company that keeping the iconic brands aliveIngram has been taken over by a company called Three Pears. The original shaving cream was found to contain a now illegal ingredient, and so it is being re-formulated. They are hoping to have the new cream available by the end of the year, and in its original packaging (i.e. metal tube).

Now that sounds ever more promising. My cup may not yet brimmeth over but it’s at least half full as opposed to half empty.
