Same here, I keep some brushes on a shelf, and the rest in boxes. I use transparent ones, so I can lift them up and identify specific brushes by looking through the bottom at the handles. The others are kept upright in an IKEA box that’s just tall enough to fit them. When I open the box, all I can see are the knots, which is why I’d like to store them in a way that makes them easier to identify when I want to use one.
A little, but not enough to affect performance. If you stand them on end and knock one over...Mine sit on their bases on a shelf. I wouldn't suggest storing them horizontally, the knot will flatten on that side.
People think the knots will drip downward, out the tips of the knot. They’re not accounting for capillary evaporation.Knots hanging down achieves nothing, in fact probably better other way round.
Yep, they come with flat bases for a reason, gravity plays no role in brush air drying, and you can read the words on a brush that's standing up properly.People think the knots will drip downward, out the tips of the knot. They’re not accounting for capillary evaporation.
Capillary action but same differencePeople think the knots will drip downward, out the tips of the knot. They’re not accounting for capillary evaporation.
Thank youCapillary action but same difference![]()
