Chris, I had polished and now have the satin. Couldn't be happier. The satin comes across as the smoother option, for me.What do you guys think of matte vs polished on this razor?
Good to hear! Thinking about getting another set soon as I’m done with a bill and if the polished isn’t as smooth I’ll happily get the matte one.Chris, I had polished and now have the satin. Couldn't be happier. The satin comes across as the smoother option, for me.
Thanks.bought 2 razors both went via and passed customs with no charges-the taiga he listed as a start razor with a value of only us$10 so under the threshold -so customs did not open either of my packages- a decent guy to deal with
I know you have some other high end de’s such as Timeless Ti and RS10. How do you find it (the Taiga) compares to them?bought 2 razors both went via and passed customs with no charges-the taiga he listed as a start razor with a value of only us$10 so under the threshold -so customs did not open either of my packages- a decent guy to deal with
Thanks Jim.the taiga and also the start are both on a par with the timeless ti in 0.95oc- if I am to be completely honest-and both are just so smooth and yet superbly effective-after first pass with the taiga on setting 4 there was simply nothing left to take off atg -as I tried to no avail- next shave I dialled it back to around 3.75 -which equates to the 0.95 timeless- and again same thing -if in a hurry a one pass shave would do you all day-and yet no razor burn -both like a sharp blade- I suspect -although others might disagree with me?as blades are so subjective!!
And thinking about blades, I prefer a milder one in the timeless .95. Currently Permasharps. But this is probably because I usually use milder razors and only really get away with a .95 Timeless Ti because of its smoothness/angle.Thanks Jim.
