All Masamune to start as I prefer mild. Might give a nodachi cap a try if needed.

Just shaved with 1.18mm plate and effectivity went up noticeably but comfort went down noticeably as well
This plate felt almost identical to Tatara Masamune cap with Nodachi baseplate.
Not a daily driver but great for 2-3 days of growth. I will give myself a 1 day pause since I'm little sore and then I will try to master the 0.9 SB plate.

Just used the 1.18 with the narrower top cap, great shave. Far, far better than the .90 I had before

Fantastic shave today with the 1.18 sb START. Excellent smoothness with efficiency to match. It has been a while since this has been put to use, shame that I’ve waited this long to put one of Russia’s best made razors back in the shave rotation. Almost a year actually. That won’t happen again....

I would like to buy a Start razor when it will be back in stock. Can anyone make me a comparison with the Game Changer 68 razor and the various plates of the Rockwell 6C? I like the Game Changer even if I can't get a perfect shave. With Rockwell I use R3 for every day and R4 on 3 day growth. The R2 only if I got very irritated the day before.

It's a long time since I shaved with both, Rockwell and START, but from what I can remember, the 0.90 plate is equivalent to Rockwell R3 (maybe R3.5 at most) and 0.69 plate is equivalent to Rockwell R2. START is more comfortable when you go ATG because it clamps the blade better (more rigid) and with the Alpha handle that Morr is selling the razor with, you will be one happy wetshaver (I believe) !
