I’d be interested to know if it’s more efficient than the solid bar variant. I really had high hopes for the solid bar but it was just too mild for me.

It took a while to get the OC Romulus. I ordered both an SB and OC at the beginning of the year but they sent 2 SB. They let me keep the wrongly delivered SB and sent me the OC. Overall I cannot complain about the customer service.

Regarding the shave. I did not give the SB much of a chance and the shaves I got weren‘t enjoyable. My first outing with the OC and a proline blade was both comfortable and efficient. It could have something to do with the lather as that was spot on.

I know you've tried it a bunch of times, but, for reference, which blades have you tried with it?

In fairness I only tried it with the Feather Pro. I find them generally the most efficient blades with most of my AC’s. But it literally didn’t cut it! I’m glad the OC is more efficient and I wasn’t the only one to find the SB ineffective. It is a real same as I still love my Excalibur and the steel version should have been a slam dunk easy win.
