The finest thing that I ever splashed upon my weathered physog was Sunburyboy's Barbershop Bay Rum. T'was God's own post-shave elixir.
Vintage Shulton Old Spice was marvellous too, when I had some....
The closest in scent to Steve's above Bay elixir of life that I ever found was Layrite's thoroughly excellent No.9 which yields a greater alcohol burn but its still very effective.
Swiss Pitralon is also true wonder juice with the initial and not unpleasant pear drop/chemsitry odour giving way to a gorgeous yet much too fleeting rose scent.
For cheap and cheerful: Benjamin's Bay Rum is very effective and smells nice without being in anyway close to the aforemention Bay Rums, Blue Stratos' unsophisticated yet refreshing and invigorating scent is also excellent and a very effective, sealing and healing aftershave following the initial alcohol burn.
Recently, I've been using Heno de Pravia's glicerina all-purpose 'family cologne' as an aftershave and it is really rather good. Naturally derived ingredients and a good dollop of glycerine mean that it seals the skin and adds a little something too. Nice fresh mown meadow scent that's not too overpowering and fades soon enough. Fantastic value and great service from Gemstone Trading too.
