Yes, I was thinking along the lines of DR Harris, Tabac, and Velobra. I have those in both forms and both perform great.

Yea, I just meant that Erasmic is not the only strange one out there. Usually both the hard puck soaps and creams should work equally well. I mean in this day and age making either variety of shaving soap is not rocket science yet they still manage to screw them up somehow.

Going to resurrect this thread one more time. I am coming off a week of using Erasmic shaving soap for my daily 4 pass straight razor shaves. I mention the number of passes I use to emphasize the premium I put on having a shave soap/cream that can deliver an excellent lather to make it all possible. Anyone who has not tried this shave soap is doing themselves a disservice. It is more than good enough to be the only soap I use but there is no fun in that. Like the Palmolive shave stick, it is shockingly good value for your money imho.

I have been using a Erasmic Shaving puck for a few weeks on and off, Awesome soap but the scent "neroli" I think . Jeez I can't stand the smell.
Hate when that happens but on the bright side the Erasmic shaving soap puck is not too costly. Fortunately for myself I have not found a shave soap/cream whose scent was that off putting. There is always a first time though.

I've been using Erasmic for ages and still have some. I think it's great stuff and for the price, a real steal. After reading other comments on here though, I think I'll give the stick a miss.
