Just wanted to put this here in case anyone hadn't seen. 7 unstamped Milk Churns.
Been looking at this and thinking about removing that knot and replacing with a synthetic. I did ask Simpson if they could do that but got a quick no response. My concern would be authenticity.

They could may well be carter era brushes that weren't stamped. Based on what else they have posted, i think they are what they say.

Just incase anyone else was interested, I asked for a photo of all 7 so I could choose a knot shape I liked and he was very obligin.
I see no reason to doubt the Authenticity due to him selling old soaps to match, here is the photo for anyone else looking.

Remind me gents. I’m going to replace the know with a synthetic as I prefer synthetic knots. It’s listed with a 20mm knot. Do I buy a 19mm replacement leaving 1mm for the epoxy ? Seem to recall, but not sure.

Yes, buying a 19mm replacement synthetic knot is a common and recommended practice when fitting it into a handle designed for a 20mm knot. This provides a necessary buffer room of about 0.5mm per side for the epoxy and makes the installation process easier. Do not overglue it.
