I was excited to finally get the call for this passaround and delighted it arrived today at the end of a particularly rubbish week of work. 3 days of growth awaited….

i jumped right in with the nodachi cap and SB base plate. My first try of a titanium razor, it was notably lighter than the muramasa which I usually enjoy on setting 2-3.

Razor: Tatara Nodachi Ti
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Brush: Chisel & Hound Fanchurian v18
Soap: PAA Good Vibrations
Splash: PAA Good Vibrations

I knew that the nodachi would be more aggressive than I usually go for but the lightness and the agility of the Titanium seemed to make it a more forgiving shave. Suspect on the basis of this shave the masamune nodachi combination will suit me best. Next stop the Masamune top cap and SB base plate to see the mildest end of the range.

Interesting to see the mildest end of the Tatara spectrum this time. Definitely a daily shaver for me. Comfortable with a bit more buffing at the end of the 3 passes. Enjoyable again, looking forward to the masamune nodachi combination next!

Well the stars aligned today, that was an amazing shave. Step up in efficiency from the masamune, lovely 3 pass shave with minimal to no irritation. Really enjoyed today - not sure it gets much better than this!

Another run out for the Masamune Nodachi combination - it really is a great razor. Smooth and the right balance of efficiency and mid-aggression for me.

Suspect I might be on the lookout for one to keep now! I don’t think it gets much better so I think it’s time to move the passaround along. Really appreciate the chance to try all the combinations! Thanks again!

Eh, maybe a stupid question. Won‘t the delivery from Greenland into the EU incur customs and VAT charges?
