We get tired of the senseless argument with people who've been assimilated. We are not all powerful beings who control the planet, we just ride on the damned ever changing thing blasting unprotected through space. It get's hot, it get's cold, deal with it. The only problem we need to deal with is pollution, and toxic waste in particular. Not for the planet's sake but for ours, and other living things.
