Charcoal goods level 3

First use of the Charcoal Goods SB Level 3, this morning, and what an efficient razor it is. Two passes and an easy BBS. Even a Timeless 0.95 OC doesn't quite match this efficiency, but whereas the Timeless never feels it's going to bite and inspires total confidence, this level 3 razor requires total concentration. It is, without doubt, the most aggressive of razors I've tried, so far. I shudder to think what the OC plate must feel like.

Yeah, my Paradigm experience taught me as much, but I still think the level 3 plate won’t be for me, even if I think the level 2 plate (which i have) could have been ever so slightly upped.

Very true, the Charcoal OC Level 3 is my most aggressive/efficient shaver, along with the Shavecraft Tech. But it can give a very close, long lasting shave.

Very close shaver but I lasted just two weeks with the Level 3 SB. Just too aggressive. It just took the fun out of shaving for me. But I might be getting sensitive to aggressive razors. I keep reaching for the Paradigm 17-4 even over the Blackbird SB.

I love the level 3 solid bar.

I've absolutely used aggressive razors that I don't like. This isn't one of them. I am surprised. I find it rather smooth. I normally enjoy a much milder shave. I haven't tried every razor out there but it's nothing like some of the harsh razors I've shied away from in the past.

My skin tends to be tougher in the winter. Right now. I might have to go with the level 2 or 1 in the heat of summertime. As for now I'm very much enjoying the 3.

I have the level 2 on the way. Sounds like I should have purchased the level 3 plate but it wasn't available when I placed the order. Available now but I'll see how the level 2 goes first.
