It seems I've saved the best plate to last. But to be honest, they are all good.
Time to get these all cleaned up and on the move at the weekend.
Thank you for allowing me to take part in the pass around.

Carbon cx titanium - plate.
Schick blade
Ariana and Evans Barrbiere classico (ultima)
Morris and forndran Arly brush
Captains choice obsidian copper shaving bowl

Post shave

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast b5 balm

Have the carbon on a passaround with all the plates. First to try is the - plate.

Actually really liked the shave. Remained pretty smooth for me.

Thoughts.

I've owned both the steel and titanium Carbon razors in the past and found them to be so good they were not involving enough for me with zero feedback from the shave.

This was different.
There was feedback, possible due to favouring the carbon handle.
All the plates shaved very well and it would be difficult to choose one plate over the rest as my preference.

The all round quality was excellent and the presentation was top notch with the razor and all the plates in the super soft leather travel pouch.

Thank you to all involved for allowing me to revisit the Carbon brand.

Tryout of the + plate this shave having tried the - plate before. Again it felt smooth. Might slightly prefer this plate to the - plate.

All,
I wasn't going to participate in this pass around having used the Carbon in the previous one and honed in on the ++ plate as perfect for me. However, the light-weight carbon fibre handle and web base plate tweaked my curisoity and I had to find out.

I was very impressed at how light the carbon fibre handle is considering it's also made of stainless steel however this made the razor too head heavy for me - a pet peeve. I also like the thin neck of the R2 handle which makes the razor feel very nimble to me, a bit like the Vector, it also takes weight away from the head and in combination with the web-base plate gives the Carbon great balance for me (it feels like I'm talking myself into buying one )

Should I be in a position to afford a ++ web-base plate and R2 handle in the future I am very likely to indulge myself

For anyone wanting a very high quality razor that is available in multple levels of agression this pass-around is an unmissable opportunity to try out all those options and I'd encourage more to sign up - it really is a great razor and everyone should be able to find an option that suits.

I wanted to try the + plate again. The shave was nice and smooth. However I do find the ++ plate is my favourite.
