Thanks for reaching out! According to our records, you have a very limited edition Morris & Forndran Lucite-handled brush that I sent to Lee for re-knotting in M&F Finest Badger in a Fan shape. Although it doesn’t strictly follow the traditional XL pattern, it was billed as a “single-ring 2XL.”

Lucite, as you might know, is an extremely hard plastic used for table tops, “bullet-proof” windows, and similar applications. The thing to watch is that Lucite does scratch quite easily and those scratches are a bear to get out.

But that aside, congratulations on snagging a very rare brush!

I like the SV brushes a lot! Most of my fellow shavers think it's too "posh" or say the "crown" makes it look "cheap".
But I find elegance in these brushes, plus a superb backbone in the knot, yet soft on the face.

I think the pewter ring can divide opinion, I like it personally, however no two look the same, which can be irritating depending on one's preference. The knot and handle shape + weight are fantastic IMO.

A friend of mine has dozens of some the finest badger brushes made, and his absolute favorite out of all of them is one of his Saponificio Varesino brushes.
