It has potential if they dropped the pivot. On the other hand if they get the pivot working well it also may have legs...
It is just every razor I have used that has a pivot I don't like...

It's... alive!
Curiously, the price of £25 is still mentioned in the text and on their website, but gone from among the options and history, so they removed it completely from those.
It's also certainly not the first half DE blade pivoting razor, 3rd at best (4th if the busted Beluga counts) after the Focus Dynamic R48 and the Leaf.
It's a bit smelly.
Shame, because I like the handle design and the loading mechanism, just unsure about the head itself.
I'm wondering whether someone isn't working on a Mach 3 (or other cart) compatible head that could take half a DE blade. Would be nice to see. Not much profit in that, I guess.

Would love to have a pivoting razor
exactly like the Broman , but the
Drawback / deal breaker for me is that
The razor is made with at least one or
More Plastic Parts and I refuse to own
A razor with even one plastic part.

It looks as though Broman will be starting to distribute their razor sometime soon.

I received an email earlier today giving a
Broman production update:


'Dear Backers,
Having an idea and turning it into a business is a dream for many people.
With the power of the internet and the support of crowdfunding websites such as Indiegogo, with their trustworthy community of backers, an almost unreachable dream for many can quickly become reality.
Sat around my kitchen table in 2013, as a Product design engineer, I came up with the idea for the Broman razor.
5 years later and very close to shipping our first 1000 units, it is no longer just a razor to me, it is my life. My masterpiece.
Why the captivating intro to your update Dan...?
Well, we can appreciate that backers can become anxious when there are multiple delays in a project. We can also appreciate that backers "just want their razor now!". The stark reality is that a small team with a high attention to detail with a product requiring precision engineering can lead to some unexpected delays. At this stage, I offer my continued commitment and expertise in pushing us closer to completion. We really appreciate your continued patience and support.
We are also working with Indiegogo to review our project and approve our status as "in production". We appreciate that by completing this process, backers can have further confidence in Indiegogo's due diligence of our project.
In review of our production process, here is a checklist of our project so far.

Engineering Updates
From our stress test experiments, we discovered some lateral motion of the assembly pins when the razor was repeatedly opened and closed.
We have now been assembling new pins with knurled ends to prevent this from happening.
Diamond Engraving
For those of you who have ordered an engraved handle for the Broman razor, we have successfully created a template and pre-production test using automated diamond engraving.

In providing an update on delivery, we are in the very final stages of quality control. It is in all of our interests to start shipping Broman razors as soon as possible, particularly since we are fast approaching the start of the festive retail period. However, at this time, we are unable to offer a definitive delivery date. We will provide a further update on a delivery date once we are in a position to do so'.

I'm looking forward to finally being able to try out this razor. [emoji846]

I must admit it looks intriguing but I heartily dislike the bold BROMAN branding on the head and handle. The pivot is no deal breaker for me but the proof of the razor is in the shaving despite its looks or pivot. Either way I probably won't buy.

It looks like these razors will now start to be delivered in April 2019 according to the email update they provided today.

They will apparently ship with 100 Derby Premium Blades as well.

Nothing other than an email update every 4-6 weeks stating that there due to be delivered relatively soon once production and final checks have been completed etc, @Kevy

After 26 months of waiting I’ve learned to take their claims with a pinch of salt. Thankfully my total outlay was £4 so I’m not that bothered. I do, though, feel for people who spent significantly more than me with nothing to show for their money as yet.

Their product looks smart. Shame to hear they are struggling to get it shipped. I should be possible to make that plastic part from something like a brass/bronze looking at it. I don't know if it rely's on the properties of the plastic for how it works with a snap fit or something.

Nice looking case too.
