Speaking of sandals, there is a new trend among us outdoor types to go minimalists when it comes to sandals. This is a company that specializes in this type of sandal. Minimalist Sandals: 4 Things to Look For | Earth Runners Sandals - Reconnecting Feet with Nature . I sent my relative a pair .

For myself, I got the Chaco Bodhi minimalist type last year. Men's Bodhi Sandals | Chaco (chacos.com)
Not for me thanks; I have too much respect for my toes. I might wear them in a spa, if I ever go to a spa, an unlikely event.

I love walking and hiking and a pair of everyday trainers wouldn't last me 6 months, from about May through to September I usually wear sandals, for many years Teva has been my go-to sandals, I go for the hiking trekking sandals, I have both these styles, the Teva Men's M Langdon Sandal Low-Rise and the Teva Universal trail with a Vibram sole, both are great sandals super-comfortable out of the box, the Universal with Vibram soles are virtually indestructible, I have worn them 3 years and they are ready to go this summer.

I’ve hiked in Chacos. I definitely paddle in Chacos. We are probably as close to being a Chaco family as any. From birth to my age us them. Just for the grandson some Z2’s.

My hiking boots for 20 years are Salamon.
