Best "Floid Blue" inspired aftershave?

Prob off topic but how does Aqua Vela compare to the Floid Blue and alike?
Hi Mem..I have tried both the Spanish and Italian variants of Aqua Velva though never the North American version. It is a similar scent to Floid blue though not exactly the same. AV seems more citrus to me and less powdery like Floid. Hard to be 100% descriptive though as I have neither at the moment.

Thanks, I'm defo going to have to get some. I've got Mennan Grand Large which I believe is similar to both Floid blue and AV and i've also got RR blue,

I can only speak to North American Aqua Velva but while similar, Floid is a softer, more refined scent. You wouldn't confuse the two but they are clearly similar scents. The Spanish AV is probably more like the Floid, but I base that only on what I've read.

To me AV and Floid Blue are pretty different, though the same scent family. Blue has a leathery dry down that is just beautifully classy.

Epsilon, goes on a lot like AV but the dry down is like Floid, I really like it personally.

Myrsol Blue is a great aftershave, like all the brand's aftershave in my opinion.
It differs somewhat from the Floid Blue, however, although it is quite similar in substance.
Barrister & Mann's "Reserve Cool" aftershave, which is inspired by the Floid Blue, could also be a very good alternative.

Look no further than Barrister & Mann reserver Cool. It was intenttionally made to recreate flood blue and as a bonus, it is also the best as formula in the market right now. Wife loves it.

+1. Both the soap and ASL are superb.

I only tried Epsilon blue mediterranean.
I think it comes very close to original Floid. Similar face feel as well.

Thought I’d resurrect this post as I tried the Epsilon Blue in a sample from Gifts and Care today. Floid has been a favourite of mine for a few years and I was lucky to get 3 large bottles just before they became unavailable. I’m now on the last bottle but thought the Myresol was a decent substitute - until I tried Epsilon which, to me is way ahead of both. It has the great feeling of Floid with a bit more kick but the biggest advantage is that the smell lasts much longer.

I’ll be ordering a bottle as soon as I can make up a decent order from G&C again. By the way, their service is just as fantastic as ever - I ordered last Thursday and it was delivered to the UK today.

It's a great Splash! I believe Connaughts have it if you're looking for a UK stockist.

Epsilon Blue was nice, but I would choose the Razorock Blue AS.

Epsilon smells kinda old-man for my taste.
