I'm really enjoying the amber notes at the moment: Darbar (gawd! an absolute favourite), Amber Absolu, Royal Amber Syed and I've got a couple of other scented which the amber really shines out: Tobacco Rose and an Oud Afghano. Hajar Aswad is a kind of bitter rose and amber. I think I'll have a drop of that today ...

Didn't really have the chance to try last time.
Just got them back out for general use.
Couldn't resist testing a few.

I now smell of Darbar, lime, ginger and Musk Amber :D 🤷‍♂️

I love the fact that you can't help smelling them.

I’ve currently got a few bits on the way.

Sandalwood
4 in total, 2 different Indian Mysore, Ceylon and some from Vanuatu.

Musk
Siberian deer musk grains
Mongolian deer musk grains

These will go into a sandalwood maceration for at least 12 months. I’ll decide which and what % after some contemplation on which sandalwood I feel most appropriate.

Orris Butter
13% Irones

Labdanum

Cambodian Oud

Taif Rose

By no means everything but that’s as much as I’ve sourced and purchased so far. I’ll update over the next year or so as I play about.

Some have started arriving from all over the world.
This is Orris Butter and Labdanum, both were gently heated to make them mobile and then some Sandalwood added to keep them that way and usable.

Another question.
I think I have seen it somewhere but can't find it.
Is it possible to get these vials somewhere?
Maybe with better rollers.
I have lent some to a friend, when it would be easier to decant some.
And swap some.

Cheers, but it doesn't appear that they do any more.
Have you got any empty ones? (as in have you tried different ones to compare quality)
I got mine from PPG and while they just about work, I can imagine there being better ones.
There are a fair few on ebay, i am wondering if there is a variety of qualities or all just from the same maker.

Alas, I don't have any empties. Also, I would say the dipsticks are a better idea as the rollers do gub up quite quickly. PPG once used a 2.5ml bottle (shy of the 1/4 tola) with metal rollers, but I've not seen those for a while. Likely, anything you find will be from the same maker.
