Well, just had my last shave with it, and I am sitting here with a mildly glowing skin and a single mini weeper. I've only used xpec and a feather pro and todays shave has been with the alumigoose doing the other half of my face I can really tell the difference. Usage wise I've been comparing it to the goose as thats the only similar razor I have experience with.

I find the blade loading design not so great, I'm also struggling to find the 'ease' whilst shaving that I seem to find without problem with the goose, I just can't seem to figure it out. Perhaps More time would improve things, but I am hardly motivated to try so :). Top that off with the razor giving me mild burn after every shave leads to:

Overall it's an 'OK' razor that I don't seem to get a long with and certainly won't be buying.
However thanks very much for letting me try it, definitely once again proving the point of the pass around! I'll move it on as soon as I get the next address!

What would be interesting is to have someone try the pass around razor against another Asylum RX that doesn't rattle, the difference was massive for me.

I actually sold it Shane, it didn't rattle with the blade in to be honest, but it certainly did change the shave. It became a lot more aggressive and the head seemed to have a little more play.

It's interesting that one razor had the rattle and the other didn't. My interpretation was that the base plate is deigned intentionally with this play so that when a blade is inserted the base plate and top cap sit flush with the handle. If the base plate sat flush when assembled without a blade then the thickness of the blade would make the top cap and base plate uneven where they meet the handle. The Rx I tried had the rattle as well and I think it's intentional, but since one Rx you tried didn't have it I'm less sure now.

Yup it's a grey area if you get my drift. When I bought it, it didn't rattle, after about 5 uses it did. Same with several other owners. To add to the confusion this is a stainless steel razor with tight tolerances, or at least that's what's described.
