I'm an American transplant. My family on my Mothers side mostly thought well of the Royals. From me, they get a pass for the most part. I don't care for or agree with some behavior. I liked Diana, and felt sorry for her situation. I like William & Kate very much. They carry themselves with dignity, and Georgie & Charlotte are a hit!
I just don't know what to make of Harry. I tend to think he was duped by an American gold digger bent on destruction, and he seems to go along without a whimper. Oprah just seems like a relentless whore making money off of other people's misery... what else is new?
From this side of the Pond, the entire situation seems a bit sad for the Royal Family... and I hope in the end, Megan gets what she deserves..

My opinion only. A view from an expat in the US.

My cousin (RIP) in Wales and I often had a good laugh about what goes on with the kids. He always remarked how much Harry looked like James Hewitt. Me?? I just don't know...

BTW, my wife and I didn't watch.. What transpired was predictable.

IMO It's already over, we're in the cashing in phase now. She'll milk that sorry wet wipe dry until he's a used up husk and then discard him for a Hollywood director to try and revive her "acting" career which will inevitably fail due to her lack of talent and she'll end up a washed up prozac popper shilling her onlyfans. In case you're unsure, that's the happy ending. We witnessed one version of the potential unhappy ending back in the 90s...

You don't f**k with these people and live happily ever after, not gonna happen.

I still have and display the Harry and Megan coffee/tea cup I received from @Wayne.

I live across the pond and half way to the next pond (Pacific). The Pope and Princess Di attracted the same size crowds, I never heard a negative comment about either of them. From our perspective, Princess Di did all kinds of good work and spread goodwill.

I had high hopes for Megan - multi racial, divorced, living in Canada, loved dogs, etc. While I will not apportion blame, too bad it did not happen.

I'm fairly impartial on this, not really bothered about the Royal family and certainly don't give a **** about Meghan and Harry, but all I'll say is "there is no smoke without fire". I don't see any reasons for them to simply make any of it up, so I'm convinced that there is lot of truth that was said. Exaggerated? Most likely... I also think the Queen has been on the dark about most of it and the the "institution" has tried to cover it up.
Like I say don't really care either way...

I don't know what to make of it, they're obviously trying to cash in. If I was being cynical I would point out that an interview where everyone says nice things doesn't make headlines and that as the palace is unlikely to respond Meghan can sling mud with gay abandon.

I do think that she hadn't realised that she wouldn't be a princess and that being a member of the royal family is a job, it's not all ballgowns and servants. I think Harry's put himself in an unenviable position having lost the privileges of royalty but kept the fame, it's not like he can go out and get a job.

For the record I'd class myself a moderate royalist, I'm just not interested enough to spend three hours watching Meghan attack an institution that she knows will not respond, with allegations that cannot be backed up.
