I can but wonder about society's endgame if we are compelled to surveille one another. Will I be getting pinged for points on my licence for exceeding 60mph on a national limit road? Will our smartcars be programmed to dob us in? Will I be forced to wear GPS and a bodycam to continue to work as a teacher?

Edit: Says the guy in his mid-to-late-twenties who's grown up with the internet...
Some ones on a fancy teacher wage, smart car eh, I aint even gotten a smart telly haha

Haha sounds simular to my standard or car then. Which is why I cant afford a £1200 payout and lose all of my NCB. I must be getting old or paranoid. Maybe both

Fellow mid-twenties man here. I've just seen enough of other people being shafted with uninsured drivers and recklessness to be without a device recording my own rational and reasonable use of the roads.

Was thinking about the nextbase simply because of image quality at night with on coming headlights - that's were the money's worth it.
Although Blackvue do some great, and discrete, front and rear cameras.
I like the ones that have sensors that stay active so that if your car is 'bumped' whilst parked it starts recording in the hope of capturing some evidence.
Nice review article for duals - https://dashboardcamerareviews.com/best-dual-dash-cams/

Ben, I don;t know about society's end-game but AV (Autonomous Vehicles) will (eventually) eradicate the opportunity to speed / crash / jump red lights / etc, and you won't need a license.

Can't help you on the teaching bit :)

Man came out of the shop to find the front of my car scraped, definitely need a dash cam, had the side scratched last year as well. Just don't fancy having any visible wires.

I'm trying to decide between a cheaper FalconZero or 'double-the-price' dual-cam BlackVue. I mean I can get two FalconZero cams (one for the rear view) for the price of the BlackVue set (which is VERY stealthy).

BlackVue: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MC4XL2G
Not sure of those myself. Went for the Garmin although its most likely no better than the cheap ones. Its apparently good at night though.

I'm wiring mine into the fuse box. Ordered all the bits from ebay for about £7. Then it can be all hidden away.

After 3 bumps in less than 2 weeks I think I better get a dash cam.

I'm after a front and back model. Any one got any recommendations?
