Along with the replacement Fougère, I also just received the latest addition to the premium tallow range.....Brisa de Oriente.
The myrrh in this soap is from a different supplier to that used in previous veggie versions and is slightly sweeter. I rate the strength of this at 3-4 out of 10.

Also received, a sample of the tallow Rosa Bourbon Manuel has made, although I gather he is not entirely happy with it. Certainly no issues with strength with this one. It won't be released until another month or so, until Manuel is happy with whatever.

How do you find the Fougère scent strength? I've just received a replacement, this morning, for the one I sent Wayne and it's incredibly weak. There's no comparison to the one I'm using from the very first batch Manuel made. A few guys on DFS have reported the same. I've sent Manuel an email.

This is my first EUFROS soap so I can't compare it. Initially when I first opened the tin I thought the scent strength was good compared to other soaps I have. I've had a few more sniffs and it is a bit weak. haven't lathered it up yet so it might change.
Also the scent is very natural. I know it doesn't say much but I think some soaps try too hard and can be a turn off.

I just hope the soap lives up to the hype as it's not cheap.

This is my first EUFROS soap so I can't compare it. Initially when I first opened the tin I thought the scent strength was good compared to other soaps I have. I've had a few more sniffs and it is a bit weak. haven't lathered it up yet so it might change.

Performance wise, I don't believe you'll be disappointed.There is much hype out there for many products, but Manuel's soaps entirely deserve it, IMO.

Okay, so Manuel has replied.
He said there is a common essential oil in Brisa and Fougère which he feels is affecting the aroma from the tin. He suggested lathering the soap and that should improve upon the intensity scent. If I understand the translation correctly, he has been having issues with his usual supplier and has had to seek elsewhere, which is not identical.
I have just done a palm lather with Fougère and whilst I would say there is a slight improvement, it still falls short of the original. If you haven't tried the first batch, then I'm thinking you know no different, but for someone who has, the reduced scent is very apparent.
I've emailed him back with my finding.

Hi chaps, this is the precise reason that I am keeping to one soap/month. The old fougere version smells different to the new. But the new keeps changing, initially it was mint that stood out and I thought hmm, another vendor using menthol to boost scent. Then I started to get a banana bread scent?? Base scent being familiar to tobacco (premium tallow). However having used it around 5 times now the scent has changed again but settled to a coniferous fougere. Strength is decent, definitely strong enough and I do like it. The first version (even with the tobacco scent) was slightly stronger, again this could possibly be down to curing time (but I'm guessing). Have to admit my experience is somewhat limited when compared to @Optometrist and @celestino to name a few

I was intending to use the Brisa, tomorrow, but I think I will give the newer Fougère soap another go in actual use on the face.

Thanks for the insight, Avnish. I still have many more shaves left with the V1 tin, however, I feel a switch to the newer is necessary to see how a few uses unfolds.

Ah I understand, no mine definitely is pungent from the tin. Not as strong as Stirling but definitely as strong as CRSW select or SV.

My v2 Fougère (from December 2016) was definitely a level stronger in scent than the tins of Tobacco and Kasbah I own.
