I spotted this on amazon and thought it would make a nice handle for my Razorock Hawk, the Hawk works perfectly how it is but after trying it with a heavier handle I liked that too. The whole razor you see below was £16.99 and the handle is stainless steel painted black, it looks like a black Maggard MR5. The razor is sold by manlystuff.ie. as well as on amazon.

This RR 400 butterscotch brush arrived in the mail.
Knot seems soft enough, color is nice and the handle shape stays true to the original 400 so all in all it's hard to see how it will not be worth $20 shipped.

I'm a Thater fan and can't tell the difference between my two (same size and shape) Shavemac and Thater knots. As you already have a Shavemac I'll be interested in how you compare the two.

the Thater has a bit less backbone (still enough though) and is way softer at the tips than my shavemac unique. For me its bordering on perfection. I gave some more detail in todays SOTD!

Is it reasonable to assume that it's a vetiver dominant fragrance? Not that familiar with any of the fragrances from Etat Libre d'Orange @halvor, so looking forward to your review or feedback on it.

That would be a warranted and indeed correct assumption
