A new razor comming

A few questions as I am working on the testing.
  1. Should we send in our evaluations as we complete each head or save all three for the end?
  2. Related to that, should we be evaluating them and comparing relative to each other, so we should keep all reviews going until we try all three?
  3. For the overall score, I assume you want that relative to our experience with all other razors, correct?

  1. I would definitely prefer once you are done with any of the heads. The unknown is killing me.
  2. No, you shall not compare them or judge them based on each other. When evaluating each head, consider your experience with other razors in your current or past collection.
That’s why it’s best not to mix the heads during testing. If you do, your scores might be influenced by other heads.
  3. Yes, that's correct.

Since the testing is still in progress, we shall not discuss the heads for now (thank you guys for following my request on that). But I can give you some updates on other things.

The handles... The majority of you don't like the original handles, especially their appearance. After being pushed by @spacemonkey42 (huge thanks to him for that), I completely redesigned them. After quite a few interesting and fruitful discussions with @spacemonkey42, I came up with two completely new design proposals:

Handle_argyle_P4_2.png

Handle_spiral_10_P4_2.png

Straight surfaces of these handles would be glass beads blasted, but the cutouts would be done after the blasting. This would allow to achieve a satin surface finish with highly contrasting cutouts, which would also increase the grip.
Handles are 88 mm long, and with the new design, I also managed to get a great balance point, precisely where I wanted it to be. The new handles also helped to decrease the overall weight of the razor down to 88.2 g (razor blade included).
From now on, there is only an 88 mm long and solid option considered. Both designs will be prototyped and most probably only one of them chosen for further manufacturing.

Once again, I would like to warmly thank @spacemonkey42 for his incredible input on the handles.

Don't bother about the handles rating anymore, as you already provided enough to make me realize that handles must be completely redesigned. Thank you, all of you.

Please keep in mind not to share any thoughts on the heads yet!

Totally agree with other testers on the handles (as you may have read in my findings). On paper, I like the top handle best.

My personal favorite is the one from the Karve Christopher Bradley in 3.25 or 3.5 inch, both looks, feel and grip are top notch in my opinion. Good luck!

What the heck 🚀🤯😲👌

Both are fantastic 😍
(WOLFMAN LIKES IT TOO)

And yes, I didn't like any of the handles provided for the testing. Very basic and nothing more.

So, the heads: The T10 is.....

Oh not again

It's... alive!
Hmmm, I actually like the old handle design, except for the depth of the grooves.
Straight, uncurved handles make it easier to shift grip, at least for me.
Any chance of a head-only option?

The second one kind of reminds me of the handle on the Kopparkant. Not the same, but they do look like cousins, with the Kopparkant having more pronounced stylisation.

Italian Barber, ShaversDelight (sells on eBay and Etsy, at least), Maggard Razors, West Coast Shaving, Yaqi, dscosmetic have a decent selection of handles, and some of them are copies of handles first sold by other companies.
If you'd look at what they have, it might give you a quick idea what's already out there (and Wolfman stuff is copied plenty).
