Regarding RC planes, we briefly considered. There is a wonderful RC store here with all things RC. This led to acquiring a drone, the DJI mini 4K. The drone does not require a runway, although, hand launch versions exist. Plus, with a drone there is a camera and video development can be created. I'll send you one of our videos if interested.

Drones are a whole other can of worms here. Flying them here near an airport or in the approach flight paths is illegal. Using the camera on a drone is another legal problem too.
