Having said that, I'd have thought prototyping would have been easier with one of the smaller, cheaper printers on site.
I did not spot any offensive remarks. Don't worry.
Yes, prototyping would be easier with my own printer, but I'm staying well clear of that rabbit hole.
Frankly, I don't have the space for a 3D printer. Or extractor fans if I'd go for a resin printer. (I would)
And they probably become obsolete faster than computers do.
Next year I'd want one with higher resolution or some other neat feature.
I can order quite a few prints until I'm better off buying my own printer and consumables.
And SWMBO would most likely not be pleased to find a 3D printer in the kitchen or bedroom.
I leave all those headaches to the people doing the printing for me.
If my printer breaks I'd have to buy a new one, if their printer breaks... shrug...
I don't even have a normal 2D printer anymore - I go to the local library twice a year when I need one.
