Out of control
Obviously, orders are delayed due to Covid, but I'm just wondering about how Aliexpress works in terms of delayed orders.

I have a Yaqi order which shows up as "your order will be closed in 5 days". Do I need to take any action if the goods have not been received before that deadline? Will the order close, and will I then lose the ability to dispute if it never shows up?

Any advice appreciated.

The sellers on AliExpress do not get paid until you confirm that you've received your order. There's an automatic confirm of order to cover sellers in the event a buyer can't be bothered to acknowledge receipt of the item. Once you've confirmed receipt, you have a further 15 days to raise any issues (a dispute) you may have with the item.

There's two choices open to you:

  • Extend the buyer protection period by applying for it within the AliExpress order area;
  • Raise a dispute for a refund as you have not received your item in the timescale specified.

I've never bought anything from Aliexpress but does sound like you need to get in touch and say your items have not arrived yet.

I'm waiting for an order from Magard from the 11th of April and another order from ATT that tracks to London in 4 days and it still there after 5 days cause they give priority to parcels posted with higher priority. And the last item I bought on Friday, seller promised to post by today at the latest.... patient is wearing thin :)

I'd get in touch with Aliexpress if I were you.

I have something from Wish which has gone way past the delivery by date. I go to raise a non receipt refund And it just tells me that there are delays and to wait longer. I think I may just write it off, if they really need £4 towards a Bat Soup that they have to rob me then let them get indigestion. I will close my account and go else where after telling them what I think. Never had an issue with AliExpress.

This of interest to me too as I ordered a couple of brushes on 31/3 and 1/4 and according to tracking are still in transit. It says to contact them if they haven't arrived by 1/6.

I’ve ordered within that timescale and received, bit of luck of the draw. I thought, may be wrong, but AliExpress I read or was told hold money until receipt is confirmed, could be wrong and I’ll stand corrected.

My latest acquisition from the US had a tracking update that was just not accurate - it indicated that delivery had been attempted but there was no card put through the door. After a few weeks I’d been in touch with both the seller and EBay and on the day I asked for formal resolution by EBay, a card came through the post saying it was being held at the sorting office pending payment of duty etc. By my reckoning the PO were about 4 weeks behind at this stage - so it’s possible that you brush may be in the queue.

Not to worry, Yaqi is a legit seller. Even if it says in 5 days, you may receive the order much later, but unless your local post office make something wrong, or lose the package, you will get it.

If not, there is an Android version of Aliexpress. There you can go on the Yaqi store, after login, and begin a chat directly with Grace Chen. After you give her congratulations for the way China handled Sars-Covid2, you can ask her about the package, giving her the track number.

She is very helpful always. No doubt about that.

I've had a package stranded at the outgoing airport for best part of a month now. Apparently the issue is a combination of a reduced number of flights and prioritisation for PPE and other medical supplies

I've got a number of Yaqi brushes on order placed on March 31st. from AliExpress. One seller is Yaqi Store, the other is dscosmetics. Both tracking indicates the orders have shipped but their statuses have not changed since April 2nd. I have been chatting with both sellers the last few nights to see what was going on and have requested to extend the buyer protection. When I fuss, I get an email the next morning that the items have shipped, yet it's the same exact email I received a month ago. The tracking statuses still have not changed.

I firmly believe neither seller has any idea where the brushes are. BTW, I live on the east coast in the US.
