Unbleached stinks to high heaven, and that for a very long time. But, I think I prefer it for the massage feel and I get the feeling that it stops hogging lather alot sooner.

Normally I’d agree with your point. My favorite unbleached knot is on a zenith brush. It’s beautifully broken in, deep splits for soft tips and great backbone. I’ve used it at least two dozen times or more with plenty of scented soaps and it still has a faint whiff of beast. Go figure…

I have a poor sense of smell but I can tell you the unbleached stink for a LONG time.

I’ve had a few inexpensive Zenith brushes, they were all made in Italy.
