I have never paid VAT on items shipped to me from the UK and EU because those items were/are VAT exempt if shipped out of country. It has been some time since I have ordered from overseas so than may have changed. When paying for your order by PayPal or credit card your price is/was automatically converted to your local currency.

The other thing to check if you live in the US is their current ruling on de minimis regulations. If the country, you are ordering from has had US tariffs placed on it you may have to pay that tariff when it arrives in the US to the US government.

I hate confusion, and don't understand however those in EU & UK deal with conversion & VAT in your lives daily.

We're not considering our countries as one and only on the planet. Growing up in a different system teaches you to appreciate others and invest some time to see how different countries deal with same issues and provide different solutions. Conversion rates and VAT are trivial stuff for us.

Well where I live in my County, it’s Maricopa County, ever City has different Sales Tax Rates.

Some Cities you got State, County, and Cities with Rates. Plus some Tax Groceries at Zero, or up to another 2.5% on Groceries.

I live in County are we have lowest sales tax.

So I am in no Tax Utopia.

Bottom line is I am always chunching numbers to save money.
