Your Go-To Channel?

Made me curious — is there a channel you’re subscribed to or have bookmarked that you keep going back to? Doesn’t have to be shaving-related; could be for reviews, learning, entertainment, or just something you find yourself watching regularly. What’s your go-to?

Here’s one of mine…..

It’s a guy who makes things out of wood - BUT, there’s a lot more to it than that.

I enjoy watching independent travellers who travel off the grid; they are some of my favourites. I follow a young German guy's YouTube channel, which is called Max Roving.

Since I have an interest in sourcing and making coffee, I occasionally watch
James Hoffmann - sometimes he’s a source of information - BUT I understand “influencers” have to generate clicks and likes, hence he’s only an occasional watch. I particularly use him for start point recipe ideas on varying coffee making methods e.g Chemex or Stove top maker, French press.

Yes!

I binged all his videos a few months ago when I was researching a new coffee setup. He seems to put out new videos relatively slowly. I think he knows he has a responsibility to not cheapen his image with too much clickbait content.

Contrast James Hoffman with a few others that I watched. Daddy Got Coffee comes to mind. I found it useful at the time, but that guy is a shameless clickbait machine.

I don’t ‘subscribe’ to anything but I do listen to a lot of Radio 4 Extra.

So do I Steve, classic radio comedy, quiz programs and quality plays.

The good thing about talk radio is you can do something else at the same time as listening.

Always a good thing when SWMBO is WFH, 'Sorry dear, couldn't hear, listening to the radio'
