My understanding is that all brown sugar is dyed to make it look more natural, so that will probably deepen the colour of the 'brew'
I'd thought that was just some brands and/or relatively cheap product lines. 🤔

yes, I think you're right. All sugar from beet is white and that can be dyed brown - needs to be sugar from cane to be naturally brown.

Brown sugar is not really dyed I believe. It gets it’s colour from the molasses that is either left behind during the refining or later added.

Filtered with the Aeropress and back in the bottle. Next step is to sweeten it a little. Little too early to taste it ? It’s taken on a lovely rich colour and I am surprised the beans haven’t absorbed as much Vodka as I thought they might.

What would you hope to achieve? I presume that would mean the pressure required would be increased and there would be some kind of desired effect on the extraction?
Talking of the Aeropress…

Anyone tried doubling the filter papers? Does it make any difference?
