Aeropress arrived. Blimey they are a great piece of kit. Easy to use and clean. The Rave Fudge No5 Coffee is lovely too, great cup of coffee. Did buy it for use at work but think I may get another for home It’s so good. Daughter loves coffee and she said it was the best cup of coffee ever !

I keep mine at work, which is for single cup serving. Alongside it is a Chemex of my colleague's for when we're working, read drinking coffee, alongside one another.
And at home I've my V60.
I get a great brew from any of these three contraptions and can wholeheartedly endorse the Aeropress.
I've had mine a while now and I hear the rubber plungers can wear / degrade but spares are available, though mine functions as new.

I have a Chemex also, but the filters have gone up, $30 Amazon. I may get it down this weekend. I’m taking a break from the Moka electric. I’ll use the press tomorrow. The steam kettle two tone whistles need to be aired out.

Enjoying the Aeropress and there are some wonderful coffees out there. I have since purchased a grinder so I am grinding the beans as I need they. Kitchen smells wonderful too. The Blue Mountain and Peaberry arrived today and I have a cup of the Blue Mountain in the go.

Spent a couple of weeks working from home while I recovered from covid. Went back into the office on Tuesday to discover someone had nicked my cafetiere.

Not pleased.

iWork with a good bunch but won’t leave anything laying around. The Aeropress will stay in my bag.

Thought I would try the dripper method of coffee brewing with this Hario V60 starter kit. (The pouring kettle was extra & not included)

My first grind was a course one using Cafe Direct Macha Picchu beans & I followed James Hoffmans method to the tee.
I have never even ground my own beans before.
I expected a watery, tasteless brew but I was wrong. It was full of flavour, very smooth, zero bitterness. A clean brew.

What I didn't expect was the intense caffiene hit which lasted for about an hour or so & was a bit too much for me as I don't get that from my moka pot or cafetière.
I will experiment with the dose & see how it goes, all in all I am very happy with the dripper kit 👍

Aeropress for brewed coffee, or if I'm on the go. I have a Knock Aergrind which fits inside the plunger of the AP so it's easy to transport.

My real love is for espresso or espresso-based milk things. For that I have a Ceado E37S on grind duties feeding a rather ancient Rocket R58 (one of the very first off the line, 2011). Neither the grinder nor the R58 are in perfect condition any more but the coffee keeps on coming and I don't suffer from upgraditis so long as I have a steady stream of decent beans. Favourite coffees are Ethiopia natural or most of these funky new processes (anaerobic etc). I like the boozy funky Rumtopf type flavours you get with naturals.

For cold brew I use my Aeropress with a widget called a PuckPuck which turns the AP into a drip tower with a sawn off Volvic bottle as a reservoir.

Keep meaning to try V60 but I've seen the threads on the coffee forums and it's another rabbit hole!
