I know 64 is not particularly old, but I honestly don't see myself or relate to that age even though the number fits I'm not ready to wear it just yet, maybe 50 is more suitable at this present time. PS Here's me and my Wife more than 35 years ago in Barcelona, I wish I could click my fingers and go back just for a week or two.

You were, and I'm quite sure still are, a handsome couple, Jamie!

@JamieM , we’re the same age. Sometimes I feel older, sometimes I feel 17 (mentally, anyway). It all depends on how much pain there is on any given day. Frankly chronic pain has become so ingrained in my life, I don’t recall a pain free day in the last 20 odd years. I hope you’re faring better than I.

Chazt, to live with pain must be the most terrible thing, I can only imagine what you go through, I myself suffered a double prolapse disc L3-L4 a few years back and that was a few months in my life I shall never forget in a hurry.

Yes, chronic pain really does start to limit your horizons and activities. You, some sooner and others later, get to the point where medical problems seem to multiply too. Make full use of good health while you have it. It really helps to have made a lot of good memories to look back on.

When you wanted to know what was on at the cinema you looked in the newspaper.

When you went to see a film you wanted the deal to include a B film, plus either a Pearl and Dean or a Look at Life.

You know you're getting old when you've had a L5S1 laminectomy, dissectomy, cage, bone grafts rods and screws in your spine and now you walk like RoboCop, can't sit in hard chairs and your back stiffens up at the thought of tying your shoe laces..... jeez when did I get old 🤣

You know you are getting old when you remember winning $100,000.00 was a big deal. At the time a 3-bedroom home was $12,000.00 and cars were $2,000.00. Oh, how times have changed.

And a college education was not something for which to go in debt. We are doing ourselves and others a disservice forcing them to into indebtedness most of their lives when, in fact, we will benefit from their professions. When I consider the extravagance of college campuses, surely, they are benefitting from the higher costs of a college degree.
