Looks like an EJ 316Didn't Wolfman also take "inspiration" from a certain Personna Razor?

There's this Reddit thread which makes me think the Baili BR131 was the inspiration for the BBS-1, from which the WR-2 came (I think):Didn't Wolfman also take "inspiration" from a certain Personna Razor?

I'd say it's a lot closer to a Gillette Tech, as it should clamp the blade closer to the blade edge than EJ 3ONE6, similarly to how Techs tend to.Looks like an EJ 316
Interesting. I think I had the "cobbed" one and it was somewhat bitey, but could be surprisingly smooth if I rode the top cap.Great post.
The zamak Yaqi EJ clone, is actually quite an aggressive razor (looks like a EJ89 head but doesn't shave like one) and the Yaqi OC which looks like an Old Type, I think it's supposed to be closer to the Merkur OC head.

I'd say my Yaqi Old Type is a bit easier to find the angle than my Old Type. I'd say the Yaqi Old Type is a touch more efficient.Interesting. I think I had the "cobbed" one and it was somewhat bitey, but could be surprisingly smooth if I rode the top cap.
The one I had wasn't finished very well, though I don't remember what exactly happened to it. I think a tighter fitting handle stripped the plating off the thread, but I'm not sure.
Isn't the Merkur OC head a milder copy of the Old type, or perhaps a Paragon/Big Ben?
I wonder, would the Old Type top cap be a good replacement?I'd say my Yaqi Old Type is a bit easier to find the angle than my Old Type. I'd say the Yaqi Old Type is a touch more efficient.
My Yaqi zamak razor heads do not have the best threads. My Yaqi DOC, which I like a lot, has a bit of an iffy thread, most likely from over tightening on my behalf!

But your razors don't have the (checks notes) Tatara Muramasa dot pattern on them, so theirs are obviously entirely different and at best accidentally similar! There is inspired and then there is IP infringement...

Hi I am a bit lost in this post ..I have looked at that razor but couldn't get much information or reviews about it..wat is the meaning off the picture?..View attachment 127223
There is inspired and then there is IP infringement... I have design protection on my razors. But too small to enforce it. And can't stop these guys undercutting me, shipping them anyway. I get e-mails about why my version is so expensive... These guys aren't paying 21% VAT, 20% corporation tax... or the R&D costs to develop their razors.![]()
haha. I am happy for inspiration, there is nothing new under the sun after all - but the DNA here isn't even re-mixing ideas from either my razor or Tatara. It's just copy paste and a bad version at that. But your razors don't have the (checks notes) Tatara Muramasa dot pattern on them, so theirs are obviously entirely different and at best accidentally similar!![]()
Sorry my fault...it was a bit of a thread hijack when discussing the Yaqi razors inspiration in that they have completely ripped-off my IP. The original razor design is mine from 2014, I have design protection on it.Hi I am a bit lost in this post ..I have looked at that razor but couldn't get much information or reviews about it..wat is the meaning off the picture?..
The picture shows a Yaqi razor that's currently available on AliExpress. It's pretty much a direct ripoff of Andrew's aluminium Home razor:Hi I am a bit lost in this post ..I have looked at that razor but couldn't get much information or reviews about it..wat is the meaning off the picture?..
Yes I get it now is there nothing you can do to yaqi for coping your idea....Sorry my fault...it was a bit of a thread hijack when discussing the Yaqi razors inspiration in that they have completely ripped-off my IP. The original razor design is mine from 2014, I have design protection on it.
