1st use of the Avanti.

Build quality and finish are superb. No blade overhang. Clamping excellent. Balance is also really nice and it doesn't feel as heavy in the hand as I expected.

Setting changes are easy and the dial was smooth.

I tried settings 1-3 during the shave and all were comfortable. Blade feel was evident in setting 3 but nothing bad.

Setting 1 was really nice ATG in my problem areas and knocked down any remaining stubble to bbs on my second pass.

Definitely worth every penny this one. It's a keeper.

O I am so jealous you have received yours before me LOL...I think mine is coming Tuesday..can't wait to get my hands on it ..I did think about it till I was reading the great write up on the forum and then I knew I had to have one ..
A big thank you for the write up..I let you no my thoughts wen I receive mine and I am a few shave in ..
O BTW I also received the new yaqi synthetic a beautiful brush and the colour is amazing

One thing I'd like to know from whoever got this razor is: if you don't fit the blade and set it to the highest gap, then you grab the head, can you twist it (as in rotate the head around the direction of the handle)? Is there any play in doing that? Most cheap adjustables with poor clearances will fail this test

Just tried. No it doesn't. Stays solid.
