I still use SPARE even though it has appeared on wordle. Second or third words are MOUNT and CLICK. That way I'm covering many letters. This only comes when there are no guesses in the first two lines as I'm playing it on hard mode which means that you have to use the letter you guessed earlier.

I'd love to know what starter words folks are using... Or are these top secret?

I start with ADIEU, if that doesn't have any hits I'll use BOOST.

Thank you. Can I ask what is the principle behind how you then cut down the possible options? For example, if you get hits on ADIEU, do you then avoid boost and start working the letters from the first guess?

I start with AUDIO and then use a word with E and R or S and T depending on what comes up after the first entry.

Sure, I use ADIEU because it contains all the vowels apart from O. If that has has no hits then I'll check if there's a double O, hence BOOST. If ADIEU gets hits I'll start working from there but may introduce an O if it works. It isn't necessarily the best strategy, just how I'm in the habit of starting.
