Exactly, i did it only because i've had the foam at hand.

I have been trying out Gillette Series shaving gel. I have to say it gives me a reasonably good shave but is far too messy to use compared to the brush and soap/cream face lathering I have used for decades. All these shave soaps, creams, gels and foams will work but it is an individual choice which to go with.

By the time you have squirted the can onto your hand or face, THEN worked it out around your face , THEN washed the spare gloop off your hand....

.... you could have easily unscrewed a tube, blobbed a little cream onto a wet brush and lathered it up around your face.

I do get the idea of shave gels in some sort of tube and have used them in the past (with a brush), but i just don't understand the attraction or claimed advantage of anything in an aerosol can.
