Whers the good music gone?

I heard vinyl sales is going up lately so maybe there’s a resurgence in listening to albums.
Personally I’m into heavy metal mostly and that genre tends to stay true to the old ways.

I'm not surprised. I have a decent record collection and recently bought a new turntable to be able to listen to them. I've even started buying albums again. Maybe it's my imagination but to my ear vinyl provides me with a slightly warmer and fuller sound experience than CDs or mp3s.

There is still some good music being made, but things have changed a lot. There aren’t any charts as such these days, CD’s are out, but vinyl is making a good come back. To get a “number one hit” now you don’t need to “sell” many. I say sell as much isn’t physical anymore too. But the pro being everything is portable on a grander scale.

Seems to be a lot of people making music using computer, fair enough there is some skill but it ain’t the same as playing an instrument. Seems to be a lot that’s over hyped, Billy Eillish for one, I feel the talent there is with her brother who does all the backing to her “singing” if you can call it that. Then I have to remember everything is something to someone.

Me I am very much into the music I grew up with 60’s, 70’s and 80’s

Speaking of good music. I'm working from home a lot now and have to listen to music most of the time to drown out the 2 children under 2. I'm bored of listening to my Spotify daily mix and fancy getting into a good album, anyone got any recommendations? I realise everyone has their own tastes, but just interested in something new. Currently listening to Fleetwood Mac Rumours, and before that I was listening to Metallica/Queen/The Beatles

Radio paradise.
Online radio station.
You can download cache to phone app as well to play offline.
You can choose the quality it plays in. Including FLAC. 😁

It has a number of channels, regular, rock... Um something else and something else.....

It is very likely to remind you of some music.
Also gives some newer stuff as well.
I often just have it running as I like most of it.

I only recently found it while searching hopefully for flac stuff.
I am completely loving the quality and the mixes.
Breath of fresh air having FLAC radio.

I only discovered the app a couple of days ago.
I am just trying to work out why it switches my bluetooth off when i hit play in the van.
It plays fine from downloaded cache from my phone, but won't play via BT.
I suspect i have something set wrong somewhere.

I found that out too, fine on my phone but not on my PC which I assumed was done to very old OS.

Good find though and no ads, can't be bad.

Good music is here, but not all of it is mainstream. I use reviewers like the Needle Drop to find good music. Or websites like rateyourmusic.com
