What shavette did you use today?

Both straight types used today. I did a WTG and ATG using the Geneva followed by a cross and ATG on the corners resulting in the best shave of the week. I've had the Geneva since 2018 honing it with a progression of 3M lapping films, Yellow Coticule/Thuringian stones and .1 micron diamond paste on balsa. This has always been a fine razor.

Since I use both hands, I can reuse the lather build up on the blade like the video I posted. I am never without lather this way. The Feather never disappoints.

There definitely was an evolution in the length of the tang. I also like "jimps" since I like to roll the razor for facial curves.

Do you see yourself experimenting with other shavette designs?

Definitely not half DE. But otoh, one never knows for sure… but even before buying the Feather razors I was interested in the orange one above at Maggard. It takes half DE or injector blades.

Kai is another option, but since they and Feather are owned by the same company, there may be little difference.

After just two shaves with the SR I think it’s safe to say that it requires less vigilance than the DX. One day next week I’ll do a shave off.

Very much agree about the vigilance. The DX is considered the most agressive, SR the medium, and the SS the mild one among Feather models. The SS clone gives me the best shaves with the Feather Pro Super blade, but in the DX (both original and clone), that blade is a liitle bit too much, and any other "regular" blade is just fine.
