Boti 27mm Boar - Cella Original - Parker SRDW/Derby Premium - Lustray Spice AS

I used an earlier model of this Parker razor when I first decided to try a shavette. I cut myself and never went back to it. I still believe that something with protected corners like a Focus or a Vanta is the best way to start. A few years down the line with experience and the Parker gave a faultless shave. It will make an excellent low cost travel razor

Seems like only the italians make shavettes with corner protectionnowadays, the above mentioned Vanta and Focus, and i've recently bumped into a kamisori style one called Wakizashi, but i'd rather buy a Feather SS for that price...

And one called Estas, but i think it's made in Pakistan for the italian market. Looks too "alliexpress" - ish to me... Cheap, though, but theyship to Serbia via DHL only, and that's approx. 4x the price of the item.

I like the look of the Kamisori style.....and I notice that Focus is involved in the design. The only thing I don't like about it is the leather handle. I can't really imagine it surviving over years of use.

I like it too, and had the same thaoughts about the leather. I think it can be made waterproof with a sufficient amount of Vaseline and a bit of heat from a hairdryer to help it soak in. Or taken off and braid wrapped with a paracord, for example...

Yes....but if I was spending that amount of money on a razor.....I would not expect to be planning partial destruction to suit me!

Since buying the Feather SS maybe in 2018 for $60ish, I've just never been attracted toward a different one. Plus, Feather really makes great blades.
