Aren't the Pro Supers designed for Wolf Man beards?

I honestly don't know, but if it keeps shaving me like it did last night, i honestly won't care. Those will be my designated blades. Now i just need to get my hands on a Schick P30 sample somehow to be sure i've tried all i'm interested in and then buy a full pack of what i like the most.

Not at all. In my Vector and Hawk I much prefer the Schick Prolines but in the Feather SS and SR the Super just works better. It’s actually more comfortable than a pro or proline, for me anyway.

I assume it's because of the blade exposure, it needs a bit shallower angle, and there's less scraping an more cutting.

I know, but i don’t like the idea of buying a whole package and end up disliking the blade... I would prefer to buy a sample somewhere, like i did with the Feathers and Kais.

Looks like shavettes and particularily the Feather brand is gaining interest and use.

I can see why ersatz straight razors/shavettes could be an attractive proposition to some.

Nothing inferior, but the Feather SS is an economical way to dip one's toes in the water of straight razors et al. Honing can be an expensive and confusing process. And, it is hard to get straight answers without a mentor.

Exactly but it's still not a real straight razor therefore ersatz.

Of all my shavettes this is my favourite. Although I have pulled the trigger on a Kai Captain.

That is one of the meanings but it can also mean simply a substitute or imitation among others. Shavettes and straight razors may look the same but are not. They are two distinct classes of razor each with their own advantages and disadvantages.
