Our tax authority is HMRC, I was pleased to have the message that I would not need to fill in any more tax returns, probably because they receive the information direct from source.Putting in our tax returns today.
As a bonus, picked up a nice lean thick cut strip loin steak to cut up for stew. We like them lean as we are paying for beef not fat.

A neighbour told me that HMRC had written to him asking for information on another neighbour who is a contractor, he foolishly asks for payment in cash thinking that he can avoid tax.
HMRC pay for information on tax avoidance, that is a rum do.
The thought occurred to me that HMRC must have had some information on the contractor beforehand and if the neighbour had refused would there have been any consequences.
