What is Shave Time ? How long does an actual Shave take.

I enjoy shaving and have the luxury of being able to take my time to enjoy it. Even after too many decades of shaving that is what it takes me to do my 4 pass shave with a straight razor and a bit less with a DE/SE.

Five minutes? I only really do one pass with a lot of buffing along the way. I need to teach myself to slow down a bit.

I timed it last night*. 17 minutes. Not including the shower and tidy up after the shave.
This was from loading a blade and adding some soap to a bowl. I loaded the brush from the bowl and face lathered. This was with a new soap. Three passes and a couple of touch-ups.

*I need to get a life! :p:

Don't worry Rob..perfectly normal to time your shaves. I often fire a starting pistol before mine. Often to the consternation of the neighbours.
They're total squares maaaannn:laugh:
