No, sure is a great base, easily in my top5 David, the thing is that it's very easy to overload.

In this case, you need TONS of water to bring the lather to be shave ready

But that's why I enjoy this one, although it's ends up very fast.

Check it and tell me what you think. C4 texture is different from C4+, so you may change the loading method.

AYLM is not a bad soap, it just doesn't produce the lather that I like.

If you haven't tried, get the Orion base from Grooming Cult.. if you overload this thing, you will never be able to break it down with water !

Tatara Masamune OC base plate and RazoRock Cyber razor in mild and medium.
Photo shows the Cyber handle. I didn't think I'd get along with that one, so I went for Bulldog and Super Knurl handles.

It isn't a pretty razor, and perhaps v2 is going to be slimmer, but I realised that the extra mass of the base plate probably won't matter, given it's an aluminium razor.

Neil's wife reached out recently.

That is the late Neil Miller's wife, who was apparently trying to locate me since 2022.

She finally managed to find me earlier this month via LinkedIn.

At some stage back in the COVID years she was doing some sorting of Neil's stuff, when she came across an unopened package I had sent to Neil in 2011 (!!!) with straights for restoration.

So that 2011 packet is now on its way back to me thanks to Kim's kindness...

Does the Universe indicate to me I should bother with straights again? Haha who knows...
