Here in Chichester there are a couple of gentlemans outfitters, one stocks TOBS and the other Trumper but prices are generally +20% over online, as such I've never purchased anything from them. If there were a local store that stocked a decent selection, say similar stock variety to shaving station or shave lounge then I would certainly visit and buy.

If I've never tried the product, I prefer to buy in-store. Soaps/aftershaves would be nice, because you could rate the scent profile prior to purchase. If it's a purchase to replace something I know I love already, online is fine. The few shaving related stores in my area (AOS and smalll outlets) don't carry an inventory that's even worth the drive.

The last thing my credit card needs is a great local shaving store!! Local dog friendly Men's store (Martin Patrick 3) has a very nice apothecary section but luckily weak on shaving products. MP3 is also mid-way from my place to my favorite Brewery.

My gambling habit is satisfied with shaving forums plus on-line purchases of creams and soaps and brushes and etc.

I really like that place Wayne and pop in occasionally when I'm in Leeds - my only gripe, if you like, is that the lines they carry are quite static - pretty much the same stuff for the last 3 years, compared to some online retailers who are forever adding new brands. Still worth a visit though.

Yeah I agree and they do not do the higher quality razors and brushes either which is a shame as they carry higher end smellies.

I would love a bricks and mortar shop here and would certainly purchase from it if there were. Perhaps it is just as well that there isn't one lol

Buying in person , since I've never heard
Of b&m store in the US selling blades in
100 bulk which is the only way that I buy
Blades.

I'm 85 minutes by train from NYC.
Pasteur's Pharmacy is at 53 E. 34th St. Probably the best B&M shaving supply store anywhere.
Google it and hit Images. You'll see why I say that.

I usually buy in a brick and mortar store. I also realise that's not really possible everywhere. But I am often in Germany and I travel a lot for my job.
