Only ever had the Aldi version.....which appears reasonably frequently. They have done steaks and burgers....and very nice they are too!

Me too! And I thought there were incredibly fatty. Not for me...

We have lots of wagyu available over here in Aus, but lots of sub-breeds which are of lower quality. There are standards which we can look for when buying. The other which I imagine would be big over there is Angus? Few really nice restaurants that do fantastic steaks and not silly expensive. Glad to have options of great meat and seafood.

After seeing photos of the marbling I think I'll pass. Never did like my steak with a lot of marbling.

Ok so it's not A5 Wagyu, it's not even pure bred, Shogun the bull is Wagyu steer being paired with a Welsh cow. But this is Asda's offering at a good price of £12 for two Ribeye steaks. Some decent marbling again nothing compared to A5. Very tasty beef.

I had some Wagyu biltong last week. For shop bought it was quite good
